Mindset Movement awakened the designer in me. From a graphic and web designer – to a designer of my own life. I enjoyed the process and challenges in striving to build and design a valuable solution. My strongest takeaway from this experience was my own transformation in the way I see and live life and the value of good design.
Mindset Movement is a community cultivating healthy mindsets through unique stories and strategies.
The idea to create a new community sparked in 2015 and grew over consistent execution and content creation which developed me as a person. I learned the functions of creating and sustaining a business / non-profit, but more importantly, I learned more about my own self-limitations and grew as a person. I wanted to be a better person for not only myself, but for the community.
Branding
In Mindset Movement’s early beginnings, I was just beginning to understand branding and design. Mindset Movement’s name stemmed from a realization that the different mindsets I was holding in my own life determined who I thought I was and what I believed I was capable of. I wanted to push this into a movement, people joining together and promoting a healthy way to view and live life. The triangle represented the content and focus around mind, body, and spirit.
I wanted to broaden the community from not only an online experience, but to a physical presence. I hosted an event that brought in a community of 200+ attendees and 20+ performers in the Iowa City, Iowa area. Although I was full of nerves and shaky, the speakers and performers shined incredibly bright. This was one of my more testing experiences, and I’m so full of gratitude for those who shared their story on stage and those who took the time to listen.
